"The doctors of the future will give no medicine, but will interest their patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the prevention of disease."

Introduction to Nutrition

It is encouraging that a growing number of people are becoming more health conscious.   We do not live in a perfect world, with perfectly balanced diets made from pure food, with no pollution or stress, no cigarettes or coffee.  The environment we live in is changing rapidly, as is the food we eat and the way we live.   New chemicals, drugs, pesticides and industrial pollutants are constantly finding their way into our lives, our food, and our bodies.

There is growing concern about the way this bombardment affects our health, as the incidences of degenerative diseases like cancer and heart disease continue to rise.   A dissatisfied and increasingly informed general public is turning to preventative healthcare, with natural foods and remedies becoming more popular every day.

There is an increasing realisation in medical quarters that good health cannot be conjured up with rugs and surgery.  Rather it is a matter of diet, lifestyle, exercise, mental well-being and attitude.

Nutrition

Nutrition is about matching your lifestyle and your biochemical individuality with your nutrients requirements, by using a sound balanced diet combined with nutrition supplements when needed.  Good nutrition may well be your best and most cost effective insurance policy to ensure your future health.

Do you suffer from

acne, allergies, anxiety, arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, bloating, candida, chronic fatigue, cystitis, depression, eczema, frequent injections, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, hypertension, lack of energy, menopausal symptoms, mood swings, nervousness, obesity, PMS, psoriasis, rheumatism, sinusitis, or excessive stress??

If so, you may well benefit from

A Nutrition Consultation

All consultations are confidential and you receive a comprehensive written report on your health assessment, the principles behind the structured approach and clear guidelines regarding your Diet and Nutrition Program.

Your first consultation involves an holistic examination of your individual circumstances, dietary and biochemical status, lifestyle, environmental and emotional factors, your family medical history and its relationship  to any current health problems, etc.  From these we can determine the best way to begin restoring your health, and provide specific nutritional advice to help you achieve this.

Your Optimum Nutrition Program is structured uniquely according to your individual needs.  Your progress is monitored, and should new situations arise, your program is adjusted accordingly.

What's involved?

When you book your appointment we will send you a Nutrition Program Questionnaire to complete and bring to your ...

Nutrition consultation at the Craven Clinic.  The aim of the initial consultation is to concentrate on your diet.  It's fundamental to your long term health.  This may involve excluding certain foods for a period of time and/or introducing or increasing others.  If appropriate, biochemical tests (for example, a Hair Mineral Analysis) may also be considered at this stage.
In your follow-up consultations we can discuss how you're going, make any necessary adjustments, assess test results, deal with new symptoms that may have arisen, introduce further dietary changes, add supplements to correct any biochemical imbalances, and discuss issues or concerns not covered in the first consultation.
Each consultation includes one months phone support for you to call me with any questions or problems that might arise.
All consultations take one hour and the charge is £50 per consultation, or £120 for a series of three, which has proven the most useful approach to make changes and develop habits that can empower you for a lifetime of responsibility for your own health.   Phone support is free of charge.

Why not take control

and be positive about your health?  Arranging a nutrition consultation could be your first step toward a healthier, happier life.
