Reflexology

Reflexology works on the principle that there are reflex areas in the hands and feet that correspond to all the various organs and parts of the body.  It is a unique method by which the practitioner uses their thumbs and finger to work gently over the feet (or hands) to relieve stress and tension, improve circulation, release energy blocks and stimulate the  body to heal itself.

Reflexology can have a profound effect on the immune and endocrine systems (the glands and defence mechanisms of the body) as well as helping to relieve pain.  It also brings relief to a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.

It promotes deep relaxation
It reduces stress
It relieves muscle tension and stiffness
It reduces pain and spasm
It reduces anxiety and depression
It stimulates and strengthens the lymphatic system
It reunites the body and mind
It nourishes and conditions the skin
It produces relaxed yet energised alertness
It increases confidence and self-esteem
It promotes health and well-being

Reflexology can be both balancing and preventative against dis-ease.  It can help to relieve the symptoms of respiratory conditions (asthma and bronchitis etc.), constipation, urinary tract infections and migraine, and is especially effective in helping to relieve the pain of neck and shoulder problems, arthritis and rheumatism.

It speeds up recovery from injury
It balances postural muscles
It helps to eliminate toxins
It improves circulation
Remember "a thousand mile journey begins with your feet".  Lao Tzu
